When Doris first met Carsten, she heard him introduce himself as "Chris" Ludder. Months later, she saw his name on his law office door and realized her mistake. However, it was too late at that point and Carsten was introduced as and known to everyone as Chris.
Chris's father, Carsten, was born probably in Brooklyn, NY, in 1893, the son of Henry G Ludder and Anna Verhage. His father lived his life in the Flushing area and earned his living as a lawyer. Chris's mother, Emily, was born in 1898 in New York, the daughter of Magnus and Petra Larsen. Magnus and Petra were both born in Norway and emigrated to the U. S. around 1880.
