Sometime between 1880 and 1888, Martha and Dominicus moved to Covington, PA, not far south of Caton, probably to be near their son Edgar.
Dominicus' brother James married Martha's sister Mary Jane.

On 18 Sep 1888, The Wellsboro (PA) Agitator reported that "Mr D Sewell," age 72 years, died at Covington, PA, on 22 Aug. On 16 Nov 1892 (Wednesday), the same newspaper reported in "Matters At Covington" that "Mrs D Sewell" died on Monday at age 77 years, leaving 2 sons, E. P. and Albert Sewell.
