Moffat indicates that Charles married Eva Bury. The Ohio marriage records¹⁴⁷⁶ indicate Charles married 1) Jennie A Beery, and 2) Dot V Horrold. Perhaps some record for Amanda Jane Beery was misinterpreted or misread as "Bury."

Charles full name is given in his death record¹⁴⁷⁵, which also mentions spouse Victoria D "Honvold," father Alexander and mother Elizabeth Strawn.

Charles apparently spent his life farming in the south-central area of Ohio as records mentioning his occupation indicate so.

In 1900¹⁴⁸¹, Victoria is listed as the mother of 4, 3 living. In 1910¹⁴⁷⁹, she is listed as the mother of 5, 4 living.
