Married4035 1939 Apr 84035 at Belfonte, Centre Co., PA4035. Munro and Doris were married by a Justice of the Peace near College Park, Pennsylvania, where Munro was attending Penn State University. The referenced marriage announcement states only that the marriage was in Pennsylvania, where Mr Veazie was attending Penn State University. The location was related to their son Bruce by his mother.

Munro graduated from Painted Post (NY) High School in 1932, and was a 1939 graduate of Alfred (NY) University. While at Alfred, he pledged the New York Beta chapter of the Theta Kappa Nu fraternity. During the Great Depression, Theta Kappa Nu was hit hard, and, in 1939, Theta Kappa Nu merged with the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. The New York Beta chapter became the Kappa Sigma chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha.

Munro received a Master's Degree in Glass Technology from Penn State University in 1940. In 1951, he received a Master's Degree in Executive Management from M. I. T. in the Sloan Fellowship Program.

Munro first worked for Owens-Corning Fibreglas at the insulation factory in Newark, OH, and later at the technical center in Granville, OH, as Manager of New Glass Development. White in that position, he registered several patents for glass composition and glass preparation techniques.

Munro was a member and Past Master of the Center Star Masonic Lodge No. 11 in Granville, and both he and Doris were officers in the Granville Chapter No. 384 of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Munro died of complications of Alzheimer's Disease.

Doris served as a census supervisor for the Granville area during the 1960 census.

Doris was diagnosed with brain cancer in the summer of 1987 and died quietly in the home of her daughter Barbara in Berea, OH, later that year.
