The 1920 census lists Lewis M Bideler as son-in-law to William and Mary Townley. Alice D Bideler is listed as their daughter. From this it is assumed that Alice D is Dorothy Bideler as listed in other sources.

Lewis' headstone⁸⁴⁰ and other sources have his name "MARTIN LEWIS" and "MARTIN L." Other records indicate he went by the name Lewis, Lou or Lew. His obituary⁵⁰¹¹ has his death as July 19 in Grants Pass, and provides that he was an inspector for the department of labor. His wife Dorothy, his mother, and several sisters survived him.
