Al grew up in Milford, Maine3357. He served in the Army Air Corp during World War II. While stationed at the Army Air Base Camp Kearns, Utah, he met his future wife. They married in Milford, where they lived for several years before relocating to Utah. Al was a truck driver there for over 30 years.
Near the end of his life, he resided with son Ron and Ron's wife Suzanne, and was then cared for by his daughter Anne Paxman and Anne's husband Steve.
Florine is mentioned in the Salt Lake Tribune, 22 Aug 1949: "Happy to be home again after two years residence at Milford, Me., is Mrs. A. J. Veazie, former Miss Florine Marie patterson [sic], who with her husband and small son are visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace A. Patterson, 1411 Woodland ave. Accompanying them are Mr. Veazie's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Hamel, also of Milford."
