In 1850, in Milton Twp, Cass Co., Michigan, an Eli Hudson, age 20, in the family of Eli and Sarah Hudson, is a brickmaker (as was Mariah's father William); Milton is about 20 to 30 miles from Jefferson Twp, Elkhart Co., Indiana.
