The marriage record for Converse Glen and Claribel states they were married on the date and in the place given, by Robert McBride, JP, winesses Mary Hickmott, Durand, and Nellie McBride, Corunna. However, it's not clear whether this marriage actually took place. The marriage record for Glen Barkley and Eileen Adams, 1921 (which lists Glen's parents), and the marriage record for Claribel Sherman to Henry Segrest, 1922 (which lists Claribel parents) both indicate that there were no previous marriages for any party. Unfortunately, neither Converse Glen Barkley nor Claribel Sherman can be found in 1920. In 1930, Glen and Eileen Barkley, and Henry and Clarabell Segerst[sic] are found in the censuses. In the 1930s and later, city directories clearly list C Glen Barkley with spouse Eileen, and Henry Segrest with spouse Claribel.
