Daniel Bartlett was born2915 Oct 17, 1801, in Andover, MA, the son of Daniel and Hannah Bartlett.
It appears that Daniel married 3 times: 1)944 Sarah Abbott Hardwick; 2)2932 "H H Hardwick," age 54, married, born Massachusetts, who appears below his entry in the 1865 census for Boston; 3)3067 Sarah Frances Hardwick, the niece of his first wife, who, interestingly, resided with Daniel and "H H" in the above-mentioned 1865 census.
Daniel and Sarah Abbott Hardwick were married944 in 1830. The resided in Boston, Massachusetts, and appear together in the censuses of 1850, 1855, and 1860.
In the 1865 census2932 for Boston, it appears that Daniel may have remarried following the death of his first wife, as "H. H." Bartlett, age 54, married, born Massachusetts, appears immediately below Daniel's entry. Daniel is also listed as married in that record.
Interestingly, in that 1865 census record Sarah F Hardwick resided with Daniel, along with "H. H.," and Daniel's mother, Hannah Bartlett. Daniel would marry Sarah F Hardwick in 1871 as his third wife.
Sarah Abbott Bartlett, dau. of Adam and Sarah (Veazie) Hardwick, died2916 at "Mul. Pl., Eustis St," Roxbury, MA, at the age of 62y 9d. She was married at the time of her death.
In an 1865 affidavit4521, Sarah's brother Thomas P G Hardwick said Sarah married Daniel Bartlett, and died prior to the year 1868, without issue.

Lucy F Bartlett is listed in the household of Daniel, Jr, and Sarah A Bartlett in 1850 and 1855. She is listed herein as the daughter of Sarah (Hardwick) and Daniel. However, in an 1865 affidavit4521 by Sarah's brother Thomas P G Hardwick, Thomas stated that his sister Sarah had died without issue. Lucy may have been unknown to Thomas, or she died prior to 1865, and Thomas' statement intended to say "living" issue.
