Although this marriage was also recorded(\super 3220} in Lynn, MA, it is assumed that the marriage took place, as is common, in the bride's home town. In 1930, Susan A Bryant, widowed mother-in-law, was living in the household of William V and Carrie B Dixey.

Although James' birthdate is listed as May 1848 in the 1900 census, other records listing his age indicate 1847 may be more correct. James L Bryant married²⁴⁸⁴ first in Salem, NH, May 27, 1869, Sarah A M Williams, b ~1848, Moore, NY, the daughter of Edward W and Sarah M C Williams. It was the first marriage for both. James married second Apr 12, 1880, Plymouth, MA, Susan A Taylor, b ~1850 in Plymouth, the daughter of John and Susan Taylor.
