Death Index796 entry for Carrie B Dixey, which lists her as born Sep 19, 1883, in Massachusetts. Carrie Sylvester Timmerman was born 1789 Sep 19, 1883, in Chelsea, MA, to Henry and Ella D Timmerman. The reason for her adoption is likely due to the death of her parents when she was young. Henry Timmerman died1790 Mar 9, 1886, at the age of 36y. Ella D Timmerman, nee Googins, widow of Henry, died Nov 24, 1892. Carrie would have been only 9 years of age when her mother died. Though no adoption record has been found, it is apparent that Carrie was then adopted by James L Bryant and Susan A Taylor Bryant, with whom she resided in 1900. In 1930, Cariie's (adoptive) mother Susan A Bryant resided with Carrie and her husband William V Dixey in Lynn.
