James' birthdate and birthplace are given on his death certificate¹⁷⁷⁴; the informant was daughter Jennie F Hawes. Sprague⁸⁴¹ has James' bapt. Apr 2 1820, Quincy, MA. Glover³²⁷⁹ has Apr 2 1820 as birthdate, likely intending (or unaware) baptism. James died of "arterio sclerosis."
Susan's middle name is provided on Susan's death certficate¹⁷⁷⁴. Susan died at the age of 86 of a fractured neck, incurred when she fell down the stairs at her home.
