Although listed as Job Franklin Faxon in a record or two, he appears in the majority of records as "J Franklin" Faxon.
At the time of his marriage to Mary Ellison, J Franklin was a merchant in Quincy, MA. Following Mary's early death, Job Franklin Faxon married second1803 on Jan 17, 1871, Caroline Frances Reed, born ~1845 in Boston, the daughter of Timothy and Jane Reed. J Franklin and Caroline had 3 children841 born in Quincy. Caroline died841 Oct 4, 1926, at the age of 82.
J Franklin Faxon died1774 at the age of 80y 7d of cancer of the stomach, which had apparently existed for several years. The informant for his death certificate was son-in-law, Charles A Price.
Mary (m.n. Ellison) Faxon, dau of William and Sarah A., died1774 at the age of 23y 6m 15d of "serofula & phthisis." Her birth date is estimated from that information.
Before Mary's untimely death, Mary and J Franklin apparently had just a single child, Mary E, who sadly died1774 within 1 day of birth.
