Married2033 1905 Nov 151476 at Newark, OH1476. The license application2003 for the marriage of Augustus Heisey and Susan Montgomery lists his parents' names, including his mother's maiden name. The marriage index entry1476 for Edgar and Hazel lists his parents names.

Though listed in several documents at the time of his youth as Edgar W, later in life, he was known as Wilson or E. Wilson Heisey. The marriage index entry2033 for Edgar Wilson and Hazel lists his birthplace as "Bellview," PA. His death certificate1475, for which his brother Clarence was informant, has Pittsburgh as his place of birth. Bellvue is considered more accurate. In 1880, Edgar W resided1880 with his parents in Bellevue borough, PA. In 1900, Edgar resided1500 with his parents at 90 East Main St, in Newark. Following his marriage to Hazel, Wilson, wife Hazel and son George resided1501 on Main St, Newark, in the residence of Theodore Weiffenbach. Wilson's 1918 WWI draft registration221 provides his full name, and lists "Hazel Reese Heisey" as his nearest relative. That year he listed himself as a glass manufacturer, employed by the A H Heisey Company, Newark, Ohio.

Edgar Wilson Heisey died1475 Jan 21, 1942, at Newark City Hospital, Newark, Ohio, of renal failure, at the age of 66y 3m 12d. At the time of his death, he was President of the A H Heisey Co. The informant for his death certificate was (his brother0 T. Clarence Heisey.

An obituary4396 for E Wilson Heisey, president of the A H Heisey Diamond H Glass company, relates that he was well known in Zanesville. He owned a log lodge near Black Run, and spent considerable time there. The lodge was a showplace and contained many antiques. That article also mentions that he was an outstanding athlete (while) in Pittsburgh, and promoted amateur sports at Newark. In 1936, Heisey was the state manager for the Alfred Landon presidential campaign. He was survived by his widow, Hazel Reese Heisey; two sons, George Duncan and Augustus; and two brothers, Clarence and George Heisey.
