Married4514 1804 Dec 91570 at Reformed Protestant Dutch Church, Herkimer, NY1570. The affidavit4514 of daughter Frances (Talcott) Richardson mentions her mother Martha Veazie and father Alpheus Talcott. Their marriage is likely the record1570 for Alpheus Talcott and "Paty Veazee" who were married Dec 9, 1804, Herkimer, NY. I.e., Patty is often a nickname for Martha, and several references for this family mention Herkimer, NY.
An Alpheus Tolcott, as well as a Hezekiah Tolcott, are listed in the 1810 census for Herkimer Co., New York. An Alpheus Talcott is listed in the 1820 census for Rossie, St Lawrence Co., NY.
An article in the "Thousand Islands Sun," Alexandria Bay, NY, Sep 2, 1971 (fultonhistory.com), describes the organization of the First Presbyterian Union Church of Rossie in 1821. Among the 17 charter members is listed Alpheus Talcott.
In 1850, Alpheus resided5308 in the household of Simeon and Maria Simons, his son-in-law and daughter. He is listed as age 68, a farmer, born in "Mass." Earlier that year, Alpheus is listed as a laborer in the household of Thomas Stone, farmer, in Morristown, St Lawrene co., NY.
In 1855, "A Talcott," age 73, a pauper, born Massachusetts, resided in the Herkimer Poor House in Herkimer, NY. He is listed as widowed.
In 1860, Alpheus lived5310 with his son Daniel in German Flatts, NY.
An affadavit4514, deposed by his daughter Frances Richardson, states both Martha (Frances' mother) and Alpheus died prior to 1863.
Hillman800 has Martha's birthdate Jan 22. Hillman also states Martha supposedly married800 a Talcott and resided in Rome, NY. In an 1864 affidavit4511 by Provost Veazie, nephew of Martha Veazie, mentions his aunts and uncles. Among them: Martha, wife of "Alpheus Tolcutt."
More complete family information is provided by an 1865 affidavit4514 by Frances (Talcott) Richardson, the daughter of Alpheus and Martha (Veazie) Talcott, wherein she provides the deathplace of her mother, the names of her siblings, several of their spouses names, and the names of their children. Frances' states her mother and father died before 1863.
Martha apparently died before 1855, in which year her husband "A Talcott," age 73, "pauper," is listed5309 as a widower in the Herkimer (NY) Poor House.

In an 1865 affidavit4514 by his sister Frances (Talcott) Richardson, Frances states that Alpheus died before 1863, and had one son, Richard H Talcott, who was then living in Little Falls, NY. In 1855, a Richard H Talcott, age 9, born Herkimer Co., NY, resided5396 in Little Falls, NY, with Norman and Jane Ann Flint. Richard was listed as "Nephew."
Child 3. Martha
An 1865 affidavit4514 by Frances (Talcott) Richardson mentions her sister Martha Simons, living in Bridgeport, CT, a widow.
Child 5. Daniel
In an 1865 affidavit4514 by his sister Frances (Talcott) Richardson, Frances mentions that "brother Daniel left no issue," perhaps implying he had married but had no children.
