In an affidavit4511 deposed by Margaret's brother Provost, Provost states that his sister Margaret L was the wife of George Douglass "of the City of Albany [NY]" Complementing that information, "Margaret L Douglas" is listed4509 among the heirs of Joseph Veazie, in a group with her brothers.
Their date of marriage is a guess based on the birth year of their oldest child, George (born ~1846).
George Douglas was a dentist in Albany, NY. The morality schedule for the 1860 census1855 records his death of consumption, in Feb 1860.
George's wife and three children are all buried in Menands, NY, lot 42, sec 3, as are many of wife Margaret's family. He doesn't appear among those burial records.
Margaret's middle name is assumed from the birth record2522 for son George Provost Douglas which has his mother's name: Mary Louisa Veazie.
In an affidavit4511 deposed by Margaret's brother Provost, Provost states that his sister Margaret L was the wife of George Douglass "of the City of Albany [NY]" Complementing that information, "Margaret L Douglas" is listed4509 among the heirs of Joseph Veazie, in a group with her brothers.
In 1855, "Mrs M L Douglas" appears2869 as the wife of George Douglas, with son George P and daughter "L." Douglas. Residing as a separate family in that household were "Mrs A Veazie," Margaret's mother, and several of Margaret's brothers.
Margaret L Douglas died2651 June 9, 1893, of bronchitis, at the age of 74y 7m 21d. She was interred in the "Veazie & Douglas" lot (lot 42, sec 3) in Menands, NY. Her birth date is calculated from that information.
In 1870, Margaret L Douglas resided4830 in the household of her brother Provost Veazie. Also listed in the household are George P., age 24, and Louisa, age 22, Douglas.

George's birth record2522 has his parents as George Douglas and Mary Louisa Veazie. In 1880, "Geo P" Douglass resided5242 with his mother, and is listed as a clerk at a post office.

A burial card2651 for Anna Staats Douglas gives her death date and age at death (10m 2d). Her birthdate is calculated from that information. Because she was buried in the lot for "D. L. Veazie," lot 42, sec 3, and that lot is elsewhere described as "Douglas & Veazie," and Margaret L Douglas is also bured in that same lot and section, and Margaret Veazie's mother was Ann Staats, it is assumed this person was a child of Margaret and George Douglas.
