Married⁵⁰⁸⁰. In the 1940 census⁵⁰⁸⁰ for Ogden, UT, Harold G and Ada Houghton appear as husband and wife.

Harold's birth index entry²²²⁰ provides his middle name.

In 1930, Harold G Houghton, age 24, born Iowa, resided⁵⁰⁷⁵ with his brother Hollis Houghton and Hollis' wife Mildred. Though Harold is incorrectly listed as "stepson" to Hollis. He was a laborer for a railroad. The 1939 obituary⁵⁰⁷⁴ of (brother) Hollis Houghton mentions a surviving brother Harold, of Ogden, UT.

In 1940, Harold G appears in the Ogden, UT, census⁵⁰⁸⁰ with wife Ada, and daughter Shirley. He was a truck driver for city street maintenance.

Ada's headstone⁸⁴⁰ reads "HOUGHTON Ada Burnett Jan 26, 1911 Aug 23, 1976." It is assumed that Burnett is her maiden name.
