Fred is enumerated in the 1870 census⁶⁶⁴ in the household of Abram Mannery(sic) and Elvira. His age is listed as 3/12 (page enumerated 25 Jul) and birth month enumerated as "Mch."

The 1930 obituary⁶⁰¹⁷ of Abraham Lincoln Eldred mentions a surviving half-brother, Fred Manary(sic) of Flint, Mich.

In 1910, William Bennett, "father-in-law," age 72 and widowed, resided¹⁰⁸⁵ in the household of Fred and Mabel Manery(sic).
