Joshua's birth record⁸⁸⁶ (Marshfield-V1, p 181, Second Volume), has "Joshua Tilden Ford Jr. the son of Joshua Tildren Ford & Deborah hiss wife was born Apr. 28, 1790."

In 1823, Joshua (of Duxbury) was selected to a jury to determine damages to the petitioner for 13 acres appropriated for a highway without the petitioner's permission. The jury awarded $28 to Barnabas Holmes of Plymouth, petitioner.

Joshua's tombstone⁸⁴⁰ reads: "JOSHUA T FORD / DIED / JA- 21(?) 1868 / AGED 77(ZZ?) YRS 8 MO / 23 DAYS." If his death date is Jan 21, and his age at death is 77 years, 8 months, 23 days, his birthdate would be calculated to be April 28, 1790, matching his birth record⁸⁸⁶

An 1867 affidavit⁴⁸³², deposed by Mary (Veazie) White, states that Mary was the daughter of Silas Veazie and Abigail Walker; that her sister Lydia W married Joshua T Ford, of Duxbury; and that Lydia deceased in the year 1866, leaving one son living.

Lydia's gravestone⁸⁴⁰ reads: ""LYDIA W / WIFE OF JOSHUA T FORD / DIED / SEPT 17 1865 / AGED / -- YEARS 10 MOS / 25 DAYS."

Child 2. Joshua

Civil War draft registration records⁹²⁷, enumerated June, 1863, Duxbury, MA, list Joshua O Ford, age 35, farmer, unmarried, born Massachusetts. Joshua's gravestone⁸⁴⁰ reads: “ JOSHUA O. FORD / BORN / DEC 18 1826 / JAN 31 1918.” It appears that Joshua never married.
