Jane Agusta Mercer was the daughter of Peter Mercer and Margaret Schroebel. Additional info on her family can be found online⁷¹³. She married first Jubal Alonzo Foster and her four children with him, including Zelma. Olive Jordan's Calif Death index lists mother's maiden name "Mercer." In 1910, Jane is listed as a widow.

Child 1. ZelmaAlthough Zelma is listed as "Zelma Bennett," daughter, in the 1900 census, she is the daughter of Jubal Alonzo Foster, her mother's first husband.
