Loring and Susannah were married by Rev William Cornell of the Bethany Congregational Church.
In 1850, Susannah's father Elijah was living in Loring's household. It is likely Elijah was living with them in 1840, as (besides entries accounting for Loring, Susannah and daughter Susan) a male of age 60 to 70 lived with them. Loring and Susannah filed an intention945 to marry in Quincy, MA, Nov 8, 1835. Loring was a manufacturer of carriages.
Susanna's death record855 lists her as a widower; her parents' names, including mother's maiden name, are also listed. Her birthdate is calculated from her age at death: 86y 5m. AVB2786 relates that Susannah is the sister with whom "grandfather, Samuel C Veazie, lived after his mother's death, when he was 8 years old."

Susan Rebecca Whitney was baptised Aug 14, 1842, in Quincy, MA. AVB2786 has Susan's birthdate June 6, 1840. In 1900, she listed her birthdate as Jun 1841. Susan's death certificate4660, for whom the informant was Mrs Emily Johnson (her sister), has her birthdate Jun 6, 1840, as reported by AVB. At the time of her death, Susan was single and resided with her sister at 719 Fort St, Port Huron, MI, the same address at which she resided2819 with her sister earlier that year (enumerated Jan 13).
Child 3. Mary (Marianna)
Sprague has Mary Anna Whitney listed with the given birthdate in the vital records945 but has841 her incorrectly listed in his Braintree Genealogies as Susan Rebecca. It isn't clear why he did not list Mary in that publication. AVB2786 has "Marianna," born June 12, probably a misreading of the month and day as an image of the birth record appears to be clearly "Jany 17." Marianna's death certificate4660, the informant for which was Hubert L Johnson (Marianna's nephew), has Apr 20, 1845, at the age of 81y 7m 18d. Interestingly, her death date and age at death would calculate to a birth date of Jan 20, 1845, not April.
