Betsey PRATT b. 1788 Dec 16?⁹⁴⁴ at (bapt) North Parish, Quincy, MA⁹⁴⁴. d. 1860 Nov 5⁸⁵⁵ at Quincy, MA⁸⁵⁵. bd. Hancock Cem, Quincy, MA⁸⁴⁰.

Although John's baptism record⁹⁴⁴ doesn't list his mother's name, Beulah Weston is assumed from the marriage dates of his father. AVB²⁷⁸⁶ has John's birthdate Sep 7, 1783. Apparently children Caroline, Martha, George and John Thomas were all baptized on the same date: July 28, 1811. Sprague indicates⁹⁴⁵ that (unreferenced) church records indicates John's deathdate as Oct 23. His death was reported in the Boston (MA) Morning Post (newspaperarchive.com) on Oct 29, 1833, as simply "DIED. In Quincy, John Veazie, aged 50."

Betsey's bapt records (src 944, 2678 and 10111) state only that her father was Thomas. Her bapt date is given as Dec 16? and Nov (?Dec?) 16 in those records. Betsey's death rec (src 855 149:243) states Betsy Veazie, widow, born Quincy, died at the age of 73y 19d of typhoid fever. Her parents were Thomas and Mary. That would indicate a birthdate of abt Oct 1787. Betsey's parents were married Oct 12, 1769, in Weymouth (src 591 Weymouth V2:155).

In 1850, 1855, and 1860, Betsey was living with her daughter Harriet (spouse Samuel O) Stone, in Quincy, MA.

Edward Augustus (1813-1814) was bapt on Jun 6.

Sprague: Has deathdate Jul 25. Sprague also has Edward Augustus (1820-1839) fell from a tree about 10 years before his death and was almost helpless from that time.
