Lorenzo, born in Vermont, moved with his family to Buffalo, Minnesota around 1857. He enlisted in the Army in April of 1861, and served during the Civil War with Company A of the Third Minnesota Volunteers from October of that year to February of 1863. One record indicates he was discharged for disability.

He and Rose lived generally to the north and west of Minneapolis, finally in Buffalo for the latter part of their lives. Lorenzo was a farmer and county surveyor.

He applied for a Civil War disability pension in December, 1889. Possibility war-related, though that's not clear, he contracted gangrene in late 1905 and, following amputation above the knee, died at the age of 74.
Rosanna's name: Jordan Mem. has "Rose A." 1850 census has Rosanna M. Following her marriage to Lorenzo, she appears mostly as Rose M.

Jordan⁷²² lists the first child as "J. Gale." That kind must have died young as s/he does not appear in later records. Rose's obituary⁷²² and the 1900 census indicate she did have 5 children. Four of the children were alive in 1900, but she was pre-deceased by her son Roy.

Rose lived with her parents from her birth until she was married.
