In 1860, Milton Kent, b ~1834, occupation mason, appears with wife Isabella and daughter Isabella, age 3. Because of Milton's birthyear, his occupation and location in New York, it is assumed that Milton Kent is the son of Sylvester and Jane (Barkley) Kent. The date of their marriage is estimated from daughter Isabella's birthyear of ~1857.

Milton was a mason by trade. In 1870, he appears to be enumerated as "Nolton."

Isabella's maiden name is listed in the marriage record¹⁵⁷⁰ for daughter Isabella to George W Brower.
